Simeulue Island is located very close to the equator therefore it is not effected by tradewinds.  This means generally light variable winds all year round. With the island's location so far west it is a magnet to all south west swell making for an extremely exciting surfing destination.  Perfectly located in front of Dylan's is our beautiful Salt Surf Resort. At Salt you will not miss out on the impeccable sessions, as well as access to the many other coves, beaches, points and slabs along the north and south coasts of the island. Amongst these numerous spots on offer you are guaranteed to find a wave that caters to your surfing level.

Only metres infront of your villa is the island's prime right hand barrel. This right is fast and hollow giving the oportunity for nice long tubes.  Heavy over 4 feet, Dylan's starts to fire up in any west to south west swell.

ONE THONG
 

Just around the corner from Dylan's, this very picturesque long left peels into a beautiful bay.  Great when the swell is small, an absolute wave magnet. Nice long playful walls on small to medium south swells.

Located in front of our resort is a small island called Tepak.  Take a small boat trip out and you will find a heavy barreling right, offering large stand up barrels for those willing.  This is a thick and shallow wave, which starts to fire above 3 feet.

THE PEAK
 

About a 25 minute scooter ride up north is a very fun rippable A frame peak.  This high performance wave is open to all swell and holds up to solid 6 feet.  Nice barrels on both the left and the right.

Around a 15 minute scooter ride south is a large beach called Alus-alus. With a nice little right reef barrel in one corner and a long peeling river mouth on the other, this beach also offers up great banks on small clean days.

Located 40 minutes south on a scooter, you'll find a small picturesque coastal village where you can take a 10 minute boat trip to a very fun long workable left with nice sections.  The wave also has a heavy barrelling right inside the bay on larger swells.

Heading either north or south along the coast you will find numerous uncrowded options ranging from points, beach breaks and slabs.  Our guides will help assist you to find waves to suit your surfing level.
